Vietnam’s stock market advanced on September 25, 2025, with major indexes ending higher despite continued pressure from foreign outflows.

- Index performance: The VN-Index rose 8.63 points, or 0.52 percent, to 1,666.09. The VN30 index added 0.28 percent to 1,858.67, while mid-cap and small-cap benchmarks outperformed, with VNMidcap up 0.68 percent and VNSmallcap up 0.77 percent.
- Sector moves: Real estate stocks led the advance, pushing the VNREAL index up 3.10 percent. Industrials followed with a 2.08 percent gain. In contrast, technology shares fell 1.47 percent, and financials slipped 0.39 percent, highlighting sector rotation.
- Market liquidity: Trading volume surpassed 1.03 billion shares, with value reaching VND 27.94 trillion (US$1.08 billion). The most actively traded stocks were SHB, HPG, HHV, VPB, and VIX, reflecting strong retail participation.
- Foreign trading: Foreign investors extended their selling streak, offloading a net VND 2.07 trillion (US$79.6 million). Key outflows included SSI, VPB, and FPT, while buying focused on TCB, VIC, MWG, HPG, and HDB, showing select interest in banking and consumer plays.
