Manioc : Vietnam exports down 18.90 percent in April, China top destination
Vietnam’s exports of manioc and manioc products reached US$112.88 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a significant decrease of 18.90 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$485.77 million.
Animal fats and oils: Vietnam imports fall 10.55 percent in April despite surge from Malaysia
Vietnam imported US$124.43 million worth of animal and vegetable fats and oils in April, down 10.55 percent from March, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Total year-to-date imports reached US$457.81 million, with Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand the top suppliers.
Animal feed: Vietnam exports up 10.32 percent in April
Vietnam’s exports of animal fodders and animal fodder materials reached US$121.39 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents an increase of 10.32 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$388.11 million.
Petroleum products: Vietnam exports down 22.08 percent in April, Malaysia top destination
Vietnam’s exports of petroleum products reached US$91.76 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a decrease of 22.08 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$355.52 million.
Technology: Vietnam moves to block Telegram messaging app
Vietnam’s telecom service providers have been told to block or limit access to messaging app Telegram, the official Government Electronic Newspaper has reported. The move follows a request from the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention, part of the Ministry of Public Security, citing widespread illegal activity on Telegram, including anti-state propaganda, fraud, drug sales, and terrorism links.
