Garment, hat, and footwear prices in Vietnam decline in February: CPI data
The garment, hat, and footwear group in Vietnam decreased by 0.11 percent in February, driven by reduced demand for clothes and shoes following the Lunar New Year, according to Vietnam’s Consumer Price Index.
Vietnam’s machinery imports fall 5.05 percent in February 2025
Vietnam’s imports of machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments declined by 5.05 percent month-on-month in February, amounting to US$3.79 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows January’s total of US$3.99 billion, bringing year-to-date imports to US$7.79 billion.
Vietnam’s fabric imports decline 4.61 percent in February 2025
Vietnam’s fabric imports fell by 4.61 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$1.03 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This decline follows January’s total of US$1.08 billion, bringing the year-to-date figure to US$2.11 billion.
