Vietnam’s VN-Index up 3.96 points, foreign traders net-sell US$0.83 million, Thursday

The VN-Index closed at 1,684.32, up 3.96 points or 0.24 percent, with a total trading value of VND 21,217.66 billion or US$805.22 million, and foreign traders net-selling US$0.83 million worth of equities, Thursday, according to the latest data from the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchangeview source.

The VN30 closed at 1,921.18, down 2.37 points or 0.12 percent, with a total trading value of VND 9,846.65 billion or US$373.69 million

The VNMIDCAP closed at 2,310.75, up 5.52 points or 0.24 percent, with a total trading value of VND 9,375.43 billion or US$355.80 million

Most traded

VIX topped trading with 690,720 million shares changing hands, worth VND 1,764,280 million. The stock climbed 2.65 percent to VND 25,150.

SHB followed in second place with 494,035 million shares changing hands, worth VND 827,522 million, with the stock climbing 0.30 percent to VND 16,750.

MSB followed closely with 232,196 million shares trade, to the tune of VND 298,893 million. Its stock price climbed 6.97 percent to VND 13,050.

MBB was fourth with 228,923 million shares changing hands, worth VND 538,312 million. At the end of the day it was up 1.08 percent to VND 23,500.

SSI rounded out the top five with 201,040 million shares traded, worth VND 674,413 million. Its stock was down 2.35 percent to VND 33,200 at the close of trade.

POW topped foreign buying with 21,814,900 shares bought. The stock climbed 0.65 percent to VND 15,250.

MBB followed in second place with 8,182,620 million shares bought, with its stock price climbing 0.64 percent to VND 23,500.

VIX followed closely with 5,280,800 million shares bought. Its stock price climbed 0.60 percent to VND 25,150.

TCX was fourth with 3,415,900 million shares bought. At the end of the day it was up 1.29 percent to VND 47,150.

VPB rounded out the top five with 3,151,531 million shares bought. Its stock was up 0.17 percent to VND 29,100 at the close of trade.

MBB topped foreign selling activity with 8,182,620 shares sold. The stock climbed 0.64 percent to VND 23,500.

ACB followed in second place with 302,400 million shares sold, with its stock price falling 0.41 percent to VND 24,350.

VIX followed closely with 5,280,800 million shares sold. Its stock price climbed 0.60 percent to VND 25,150.

SSI was fourth with 799,008 million shares sold. At the end of the day it was down 1.92 percent to VND 33,200.

TCB rounded out the top five with 1,240,935 million shares sold. Its stock was down 0.59 percent to VND 33,750 at the close of trade.
