Vietnam’s VN-Index up 20 points, foreign traders net-buy US$23.83 million, Wednesday

The VN-Index closed at 1,680.36, up 20.00 points or 1.20 percent, with a total trading value of VND 24,853.77 billion or US$943.22 million, and foreign traders net-buying US$23.83 million worth of equities, Wednesday, according to the latest data from the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchangeview source.

The VN30 closed at 1,923.55, up 13.95 points or 0.73 percent, with a total trading value of VND 14,123.83 billion or US$536.01 million

The VNMIDCAP closed at 2,305.23, up 58.10 points or 2.59 percent, with a total trading value of VND 9,236.90 billion or US$350.55 million

Most traded

SHB topped trading with 872,114 million shares changing hands, worth VND 1,444,891 million. The stock climbed 1.83 percent to VND 16,700.

VIX followed in second place with 627,932 million shares changing hands, worth VND 1,524,196 million, with the stock climbing 6.99 percent to VND 24,500.

SSI followed closely with 360,381 million shares trade, to the tune of VND 1,213,993 million. Its stock price climbed 3.50 percent to VND 34,000.

GEX was fourth with 262,265 million shares changing hands, worth VND 1,246,322 million. At the end of the day it was up 6.98 percent to VND 48,250.

CII rounded out the top five with 226,915 million shares traded, worth VND 600,050 million. Its stock was up 5.14 percent to VND 26,600 at the close of trade.

SHB topped foreign buying with 11,362,500 shares bought. The stock climbed 2.14 percent to VND 16,700.

VPB followed in second place with 7,664,000 million shares bought, with its stock price climbing 2.84 percent to VND 29,000.

VIX followed closely with 5,204,400 million shares bought. Its stock price climbed 5.83 percent to VND 24,500.

MBB was fourth with 5,107,331 million shares bought. At the end of the day it was up 1.53 percent to VND 23,250.

SSI rounded out the top five with 4,795,227 million shares bought. Its stock was up 3.03 percent to VND 34,000 at the close of trade.

Vietnam stocks most sold by foreign traders

VCB topped foreign selling activity with 2,010,329 shares sold. The stock fell 0.68 percent to VND 58,100.

HPG followed in second place with 3,263,270 million shares sold, with its stock price climbing 0.56 percent to VND 27,100.

MBB followed closely with 5,107,331 million shares sold. Its stock price climbed 1.53 percent to VND 23,250.

DXG was fourth with 3,995,400 million shares sold. At the end of the day it was up 3.51 percent to VND 19,150.

SSI rounded out the top five with 4,795,227 million shares sold. Its stock was up 3.03 percent to VND 34,000 at the close of trade.
