Vietnam’s textile, leather, and footwear materials exports decline by 14.82 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s textile, leather, and footwear materials exports decreased by 14.82 percent in February compared to January, amounting to US$161.19 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Vietnam’s total textile, leather, and footwear materials exports for 2025 have reached US$350.09 million, reflecting a slowdown in demand from key markets.

The decline in exports was primarily driven by a 17.22 percent drop in shipments to Cambodia, which accounted for 18.01 percent of total exports. Meanwhile, exports to Indonesia and the USA also saw significant declines. However, exports to China increased by 20.56 percent, reaching US$17.06 million, and exports to Taiwan surged by 31.16 percent.
