Vietnam’s still image and video camera exports dip slightly in January

Vietnam’s still image and video camera exports saw a slight decline of 0.95 percent month-on-month in January, totalling US$575.29 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

China remained the dominant market, accounting for 54.96 percent of total exports at US$316.15 million, a 1.59 percent decrease from December. The US followed with US$85.56 million, representing 14.87 percent of total exports, down by 3.64 percent. South Korea ranked third at US$39.59 million, making up 6.88 percent, falling by 7.80 percent.

Hong Kong recorded notable growth, increasing by 35.58 percent to US$24.95 million. Germany also saw a rise of 16.65 percent, reaching US$13.34 million. In contrast, Canada and the Philippines experienced significant declines of 34.22 percent and 49.94 percent, respectively.

The top five markets—China, the US, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Germany—accounted for 83.37 percent of Vietnam’s total still image and video camera exports in January. While certain smaller markets grew, the overall performance was shaped by slight reductions in demand across major destinations.
