Vietnam imported US$557.41 million worth of petroleum products in March, up 7.65 percent from February, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brought the total value for the first three months of the year to US$1.66 billion.
Singapore was the top supplier, with imports rising 14.36 percent to US$204.58 million, accounting for over 41 percent of the total. Imports from Malaysia rose more than 25 percent to US$63.14 million, while China’s shipments edged up 1.41 percent. In contrast, imports from South Korea fell 19.19 percent to US$144.56 million. Thailand re-entered the list of suppliers with US$16.89 million in shipments.
