Vietnam’s exports of furniture made from materials other than wood reached US$327.62 million in November, reflecting a modest increase of 4.11 percent compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. The year-to-date total for this category stands at US$3.04 billion, showcasing stable demand for these products globally.
Australia was the largest importer, purchasing US$3.37 million worth of furniture, though this marked a significant month-on-month decline of 19.73 percent. Denmark followed with imports of US$2.93 million, experiencing a sharper decrease of 25.63 percent. Meanwhile, Cambodia showed the highest growth, importing US$0.58 million—a 65.87 percent increase from October.
Vietnam’s furniture sector continues to play a vital role in diversifying export categories, attracting attention from markets across Asia-Pacific and Europe. Despite challenges, the industry is well-positioned for long-term growth.
