Vietnam’s manioc and manioc products exports climbed to US$90.75 million in November 2024, marking a 19.20 percent month-on-month growth, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports reached US$1.05 billion, reflecting steady performance in this agricultural sector.
China remained the dominant importer, accounting for US$85.65 million, a 21.93 percent increase from the previous month. Taiwan showed a significant decline of 21.28 percent, importing only US$1.46 million. Meanwhile, Malaysia and South Korea demonstrated growth of 15.03 percent and a remarkable 65.43 percent, respectively. Notable drops were observed in exports to Japan and the Philippines, which declined by 94.04 percent and 26.94 percent.
The data illustrates China’s continued reliance on Vietnam’s manioc products, while other markets like South Korea are emerging as promising growth opportunities for diversification.
