Vietnam welcomed 8,040 tourists from the Netherlands in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 2,014 visitors or 33.42 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, Dutch arrivals reached 71,743, reflecting an 18.7 percent growth compared to the same period last year. The Netherlands remains a key market for Vietnam within Western Europe, contributing steadily to its international tourism recovery.
Dutch tourists are attracted to Vietnam’s diverse offerings, from cultural landmarks in Hanoi and Hoi An to natural wonders like Halong Bay and the Mekong Delta. Beach destinations, including Phu Quoc and Nha Trang, also appeal to Dutch travellers seeking leisure and relaxation.
Direct flight options are limited, but airlines such as KLM, Qatar Airways, and Emirates provide connecting routes between Amsterdam and Vietnam through major hubs. These connections have supported the consistent growth in Dutch arrivals.
The robust increase in November arrivals highlights Vietnam’s success in promoting itself as a vibrant destination for European travellers, strengthening its position in the global tourism market.
