Vietnam’s motor vehicle parts imports rise 10.33 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s imports of motor vehicle parts and accessories grew by 10.33 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$411.72 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brings total year-to-date imports to US$785.01 million, reflecting sustained demand in the automotive sector.

China remained the largest supplier despite a 15.38 percent decline, contributing US$125.39 million or 30.45 percent of total imports. South Korea followed with US$86.00 million, marking a 7.43 percent increase. Thailand saw the highest growth among major suppliers, rising by 37.48 percent to US$64.56 million.

Japan experienced a sharp increase of 79.25 percent, reaching US$58.85 million, while Indonesia surged by 50.54 percent to US$28.64 million. The USA recorded the most significant growth at 308.86 percent, while Russia saw an exceptional 1400.73 percent rise. In contrast, imports from India fell by 17.13 percent, and Brazil saw a 91.81 percent decline.
