Vietnam’s glass and glassware imports rise 18.75 percent in February 2025

Vietnam’s glass and glassware imports increased by 18.75 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$97.84 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This follows January’s total of US$82.39 million, bringing year-to-date imports to US$180.18 million.

China remained the dominant supplier, accounting for 65.65 percent of total imports with US$64.23 million, up 12.14 percent from the previous month. South Korea recorded the highest growth among major suppliers, with a 58.72 percent increase to US$7.00 million. Imports from Japan rose by 31.07 percent to US$6.13 million, while Thailand saw a 30.16 percent increase.

Austria posted the sharpest rise, more than doubling its exports to Vietnam with a 130.66 percent increase, reaching US$3.00 million. Meanwhile, imports from Indonesia grew by 45.09 percent, and the USA recorded a 21.85 percent increase.
