Vietnam’s exports of telephones, mobile phones, and parts decreased marginally in October 2024, with export value totalling US$4.59 billion, a 0.7 percent decline from September’s US$4.62 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Despite the slight monthly dip, year-to-date figures reflect solid growth. From January to October, exports in this category reached US$46.47 billion, a 4.9 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The steady year-to-date growth highlights Vietnam’s critical role in the global electronics supply chain, particularly in mobile phone production. While October’s decline indicates short-term fluctuations, the sector continues to be a significant contributor to Vietnam’s export economy, bolstered by robust international demand and advanced manufacturing capabilities.
