Vietnam’s exports to Spain reached US$354.96 million in October, marking an 11.12 percent increase compared to September, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports have now reached US$3.41 billion.
Key export categories saw significant growth. Bamboo and rattan products surged by 60.27 percent to US$2.67 million. Computers, electrical products, and spare parts increased by 47.21 percent to US$18.86 million. Iron and steel exports grew by 54.38 percent, reaching US$58.41 million. Plastic products rose by 39.14 percent to US$3.53 million, while footwear exports increased by 33.45 percent to US$44.11 million.
Exceptional growth was observed in precious stones, precious metals, and articles, which surged by 305.32 percent to US$0.50 million. Rice exports also grew significantly, increasing by 118.11 percent to US$0.26 million.
Conversely, some categories experienced declines. Textiles and garments fell by 20.70 percent to US$52.90 million, while rubber exports dropped by 41.12 percent to US$2.06 million. Exports of toys and sports requisites decreased sharply by 58.70 percent to US$1.34 million.
The robust growth in exports to Spain, particularly in key sectors such as iron and steel, computers, and footwear, highlights Vietnam’s strengthening trade ties with Spain, despite declines in certain product categories.
