Vietnam’s iron and steel products exports rise by 23.05 percent in December

Vietnam’s exports of iron and steel products increased by 23.05 percent in December compared to November, reaching US$506.05 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Vietnam’s iron and steel products exports total US$4.59 billion for 2024.

The rise in exports was driven by a significant increase in shipments to the USA, which saw a 54.59 percent growth, amounting to US$166.29 million. Exports to Taiwan and Australia also showed positive growth, increasing by 15.22 percent and 12.73 percent, respectively.

However, some markets experienced a decline. Exports to Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and India dropped by 1.53 percent, 8.36 percent, 7.10 percent, and 9.75 percent, respectively.
