Vietnam’s imports of machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments totalled US$4.43 billion in November, a growth of 3.1 percent compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date imports reached US$44.21 billion.
China remained the top supplier, with imports increasing by 8.11 percent to US$2.72 billion. South Korea contributed US$412.03 million, marking a slight growth of 2.01 percent, while the USA recorded a 5.34 percent increase, totalling US$96.87 million.
Japan saw a decline of 12.78 percent, with imports amounting to US$342.59 million. Taiwan also dropped by 7.15 percent to US$119.91 million. Imports from Germany fell sharply by 17.68 percent to US$111.18 million, while Malaysia saw a 9.26 percent decrease to US$66.02 million.
The steady growth in overall imports reflects strong demand for machinery and equipment, driven by rising imports from China and other key partners, offsetting declines in regions like Germany and Japan.
