Vietnam’s exports of telephones, mobile phones, and parts reached US$3.77 billion in November, a decrease of 17.7 percent compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports in this category amounted to US$50.24 billion.
China was the largest market, receiving US$1.12 billion in November, but this represented a significant decline of 33.65 percent month-on-month. The USA followed with US$642.82 million, down 7.68 percent. South Korea saw a decrease of 13.16 percent, with exports totalling US$263.32 million.
On the positive side, exports to the UAE grew by 13.69 percent to US$236.62 million, and Japan experienced a strong increase of 27.54 percent, reaching US$109.70 million. Hong Kong also showed modest growth, rising by 5.55 percent to US$84.83 million. However, exports to Austria and Mexico fell sharply, declining by 19.54 percent and 53.39 percent, respectively.
The overall decline in November underscores challenges in major markets like China and the USA, but steady growth in regions such as Japan and the UAE highlights opportunities for diversification.
