Vietnam’s exports to the United States of America reached US$10.15 billion in November, a decrease of 3.84 percent compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports amounted to US$108.97 billion.
Machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments led the export categories, contributing US$2.22 billion, though this marked a 10.54 percent decline month-on-month. Computers, electrical products, and spare parts followed at US$1.80 billion, down 0.65 percent.
Textiles and garments showed a slight increase of 1.68 percent, totalling US$1.31 billion, while footwear rose by 4.11 percent to US$714.22 million. Plastic products saw growth of 5.27 percent, reaching US$305.76 million, and exports of handbags, purses, and suitcases increased by 11.85 percent to US$168.35 million.
Conversely, wood and wooden products dropped by 2.64 percent to US$827.31 million, and exports of telephones and mobile phones fell by 7.68 percent to US$642.82 million.
Despite the overall decline, steady growth in key categories like textiles, footwear, and plastics highlights the resilience of Vietnam’s exports to the USA amid broader market fluctuations.
