Vietnam’s imports from Indonesia reached US$1.01 billion in November, marking a 3.14 percent decrease compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date imports from Indonesia totalled US$9.46 billion. Key imported products included coal, which saw a 4.96 percent increase month-on-month to US$216.71 million, and animal, vegetable fats and oils, which declined by 35.49 percent to US$64.43 million. Notable growth was observed in cashew nut imports, surging by 214.97 percent compared to the previous month. Meanwhile, chemical imports dropped by 36.33 percent, reflecting a downward trend in this category.
This data highlights the mixed performance across different product categories, with substantial growth in some sectors offset by significant declines in others.
