Vietnam welcomed 114,949 tourists from the Philippines in November, a month-on-month increase of 6,088 visitors or 5.59 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, Philippine arrivals reached 1,177,615, marking a 25.5 percent growth compared to the same period in 2023. The Philippines remains a key Southeast Asian market for Vietnam, reflecting strong regional travel recovery post-pandemic.
Philippine tourists are drawn to vibrant cities like Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, known for their rich history, bustling markets, and culinary experiences. Coastal destinations like Phu Quoc, Nha Trang, and Danang also appeal to Filipino travellers, offering scenic beaches and resorts.
Key airlines operating between Vietnam and the Philippines include Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Vietnam Airlines, providing direct flights from Manila to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. These connections, alongside visa-free policies for ASEAN nationals, have facilitated the steady rise in arrivals.
The consistent growth in arrivals from the Philippines underscores Vietnam’s efforts to strengthen intra-ASEAN tourism, supported by cultural ties and diverse travel offerings.
