Vietnam’s imports of other base metals reached US$834.86 million in November, up 1.8 percent compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date imports totalled US$8.65 billion. China led the imports with US$252.78 million, an increase of 10.55 percent month-on-month. Significant growth was also observed in imports from the Philippines, which surged by 94.59 percent. Conversely, South Korea experienced a decline of 22.15 percent, while Thailand and Indonesia also recorded drops of 20.28 percent and 10.45 percent, respectively.
The data highlights China’s dominance in Vietnam’s metal imports and the contrasting trends among other key trading partners.
