Vietnam’s glass and glassware imports increase by 24.71 percent in March

Vietnam’s imports of glass and glassware totalled US$122.01 million in March, marking a 24.71 percent increase compared to February. Year-to-date (YTD) imports reached US$302.24 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

China remained the largest supplier, accounting for 66.82 percent of total imports with US$80.45 million, followed by Malaysia with a significant 96.35 percent increase, amounting to US$12.03 million. South Korea and Japan experienced contrasting changes, with South Korea seeing a decrease of 5.26 percent to US$6.63 million, while Japan’s imports grew by 11.27 percent to US$6.82 million. Thailand and Austria also showed positive growth, while Taiwan recorded a strong increase of 59.53 percent.
