Vietnam’s fertilizer exports rise by 23.08 percent in March

Vietnam’s fertilizer exports increased by 23.08 percent in March compared to February, reaching US$90.92 million, according to data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year-to-date exports stood at US$225.38 million. The surge in March was mainly driven by a near doubling in shipments classified under ‘Other’, which rose by 97.45 percent and accounted for 39 percent of the total. Exports to Cambodia also grew by 15.53 percent, maintaining its position as the second-largest market.

Meanwhile, exports to key markets such as the Philippines, Taiwan, and Malaysia declined sharply. However, exports to Myanmar and Thailand more than doubled, rising by 223.58 percent and 105.43 percent respectively.
