Vietnam’s fertiliser exports reflect mixed trends in November

Vietnam’s fertiliser exports in November 2024 amounted to US$53.83 million, marking a 10 percent decline month-on-month, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date figures, however, reached US$644.46 million, underlining the sector’s importance to the nation’s agricultural trade.

Cambodia emerged as the top importer, purchasing US$22.14 million worth of fertilisers, despite a slight drop of 4.51 percent from October. South Korea followed, with imports surging by 36.02 percent to US$9.33 million. Meanwhile, exports to the Philippines declined sharply by 46.16 percent, recording US$5.22 million. Notably, shipments to Myanmar saw a remarkable increase of 909.30 percent, reaching US$3.46 million.

The figures highlight Vietnam’s competitive positioning in the regional fertiliser market while underscoring the variability in demand across importing nations.
