Vietnam welcomed 33,153 tourists from Taiwan in November, marking a month-on-month increase of 7,391 visitors or 28.69 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Year-to-date, arrivals from Taiwan reached 234,140, reflecting a significant 111 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Taiwan has emerged as a vital market for Vietnam, demonstrating strong post-pandemic recovery and travel interest.
Taiwanese tourists are drawn to Vietnam’s dynamic cities such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, known for their vibrant culture and culinary experiences. Additionally, natural destinations like Halong Bay and Phu Quoc attract Taiwanese visitors looking for scenic and relaxing vacations.
Key airlines, including Vietnam Airlines, VietJet Air, and China Airlines, operate direct flights between major cities in Taiwan—such as Taipei and Kaohsiung—and Vietnamese hubs. The availability of frequent and affordable flights has significantly boosted travel between the two destinations.
The continued rise in Taiwanese tourist arrivals underscores Vietnam’s success in appealing to regional markets, supported by its diverse attractions and enhanced connectivity.
