Vietnam’s exports to Thailand in November 2024 reached US$643.52 million, showing a modest month-on-month growth of 1.30 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This data reflects Vietnam’s steady trade relationship with its Southeast Asian neighbour.
Year-to-date, Vietnam’s exports to Thailand amounted to US$7.15 billion. Machinery, computers, and electronics dominate the export portfolio, with these categories leading the trade figures.
In November, machinery and equipment exports totalled US$100.19 million, albeit with a 3.10 percent decline from October. Conversely, computers and electronic products saw an impressive month-on-month growth of 18.48 percent, totalling US$79.16 million. Other notable performers included mobile phones and parts, which rose by 5.09 percent to US$52.52 million, and fruits and vegetables, which surged by 51.04 percent to US$34.23 million. However, textiles and garments faced an 11.80 percent drop, recording US$22.71 million.
The diverse performance across export categories highlights both opportunities and challenges for Vietnam in maintaining its strong trade relations with Thailand.
