Vietnam’s exports to South Korea fell by 7.22 percent in November, reaching US$2.11 billion, compared to US$2.28 billion in October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
On a year-on-year basis, export figures showed fluctuations, with mixed performance across key product categories. Notably, textiles and garments dropped 46.65 percent month-on-month, while computers, electrical products, spare-parts and components rose significantly by 13.37 percent.
The data highlights that telephones, mobile phones and parts thereof experienced a 13.16 percent decrease, alongside machinery and tools, which fell by 15.74 percent. Meanwhile, other products and wooden goods faced moderate month-on-month growth. These shifts reflect ongoing volatility within Vietnam’s manufacturing sector, driven by global demand uncertainties.
Vietnam’s export industry remains pivotal for the economy, with electronics, machinery, and textiles leading as key contributors despite monthly declines.
