Vietnam’s exports of machinery, equipment, tools, and instruments totalled US$4.68 billion in November, a decrease of 10.7 percent compared to October, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. Year-to-date exports in this category amounted to US$47.81 billion.
The USA remained the largest market, with exports reaching US$2.22 billion, despite a decline of 10.54 percent month-on-month. Exports to China were stable at US$301.61 million, reflecting a slight increase of 0.25 percent. South Korea saw a sharp decline of 15.74 percent, with exports totalling US$253.97 million.
Japan imported US$248.23 million worth of machinery and equipment, a decline of 4.07 percent, while exports to the Netherlands fell by 11.10 percent to US$198.94 million. Germany recorded a 12.36 percent drop, amounting to US$115.18 million. Conversely, exports to Thailand and the UK declined by 3.10 percent and 10.23 percent, respectively.
Despite the overall decline, Vietnam’s exports in this category remain robust, particularly in the USA and China, reflecting steady demand from key trading partners.
