Vietnam’s chemical product imports surge by 18.16 percent in March

Vietnam’s imports of chemical products reached US$683.99 million in March 2025, marking an 18.16 percent increase from February. Year-to-date imports totalled US$1.81 billion. This rise was mainly driven by imports from China, which accounted for 41.33 percent of the total imports, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

China remained the dominant supplier with US$293.55 million, up 42.32 percent from the previous month. South Korea and Japan followed with US$73.70 million and US$57.98 million, respectively. Other notable suppliers included Taiwan, the USA, and Thailand, all contributing significantly to the total imports.

Germany and Italy saw a decline in imports, while Switzerland, Poland, and Sweden reported significant growths in their exports to Vietnam.
