Vietnam’s imports of chemical reached US$672.37 million in March 2025, marking a 2.21 percent rise compared to February. Year-to-date (YTD) chemical imports stood at US$1.87 billion, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
China remained the leading supplier of chemicals, with US$304.91 million worth of imports, up by 16.88 percent compared to the previous month. Taiwan, Japan, and the USA were other major suppliers, but all saw declines in their respective exports to Vietnam. South Korea and Malaysia both saw significant increases in their exports, with imports from Malaysia rising by 9.49 percent. Notably, imports from Singapore and Indonesia surged by 69.85 percent and 93.09 percent, respectively.
