Swiss tourist arrivals in Vietnam grow by 54.44 percent in November

Vietnam recorded 4,085 tourist arrivals from Switzerland in November, reflecting a significant month-on-month increase of 1,440 visitors or 54.44 percent, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.

Year-to-date, Swiss arrivals reached 30,194, marking a 23.6 percent growth compared to the same period last year. Switzerland remains a noteworthy source market for Vietnam, contributing steadily to the European segment of its tourism industry.

Swiss tourists are drawn to Vietnam’s diverse offerings, including cultural and historical experiences in Hanoi and Hoi An, and scenic wonders such as Halong Bay and Sapa. Beach destinations like Phu Quoc and Nha Trang are also popular for leisure travellers seeking relaxation and tropical charm.

While there are no direct flights between Switzerland and Vietnam, connecting routes through hubs in the Middle East, such as Doha and Dubai, and Southeast Asia facilitate seamless travel for Swiss visitors. Airlines like Qatar Airways, Emirates, and Vietnam Airlines play a critical role in ensuring accessibility.

The substantial increase in Swiss arrivals highlights Vietnam’s growing appeal as a diverse travel destination and its effectiveness in marketing efforts across European markets.
