The Industrial Production Index (IPI) for cables, wires, and other electronic products increased by 1.61 percent in November compared to October, reflecting steady month-on-month growth, according to Vietnam’s General Statistics Office. This rise highlights the consistent demand for these products in domestic and international markets.
Year-on-year, the sector recorded a remarkable 15.39 percent growth in November 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. Over the first 11 months of 2024, cumulative growth reached 14.09 percent, reinforcing the sector’s pivotal role in Vietnam’s industrial performance.
This robust growth is driven by increasing global demand for high-quality cables and wires, particularly in renewable energy and telecommunications projects. Vietnam’s competitive production capabilities and strategic market positioning have supported this expansion.
Cables and wires are essential to Vietnam’s industrial landscape, facilitating energy distribution, telecommunications, and infrastructure projects. Investments in modern production technologies and market diversification will sustain the sector’s upward trajectory.
