Vietnam’s iron and steel product exports reached US$411.27 million in November, reflecting a 4.3 percent month-on-month increase, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date exports stood at US$4.09 billion, with the USA as the largest importer at US$1.17 billion, despite a 10.44 percent monthly decline. Japan followed with US$559.99 million, experiencing a modest growth of 1.23 percent. Taiwan witnessed a remarkable 278.86 percent surge to US$200.84 million, while South Korea registered a 20.85 percent increase to US$217.30 million. Conversely, Australia recorded a significant drop of 26.44 percent.
The export growth in November highlights Vietnam’s increasing competitiveness in the global iron and steel market. Strategic investments in production capacity and diversification of markets could help to sustain this upward trend.
