Vietnam’s base metals and metal product exports grow in October, YTD steady

Vietnam’s exports of other base metals and base metal products reached US$330.80 million in October 2024, marking a 6.4 percent increase compared to September’s US$310.76 million. The rise highlights consistent demand for Vietnam’s base metal exports in global markets, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year-to-date figures also reflect stable growth. From January to October, exports in this category totalled US$3.47 billion, a 3.6 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The modest but steady year-to-date growth underscores Vietnam’s competitiveness in producing base metals and related products. October’s performance indicates continued opportunities for expansion in this sector, supported by diversified markets and consistent international demand.
