According to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Office of Statistics, the country produced 0.673 million tons of aquaculture feed in January 2025. In February, this figure increased to 0.705 million tons.
The cumulative total for the first two months of the year reached 1.38 million tons. This represents a 15.6 percent increase compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, the year-to-date figure reflects a 7.2 percent increase when compared to the first two months of 2024, indicating continued expansion in the aquaculture feed sector.
Aquaculture feed production is a key part of Vietnam’s thriving aquaculture industry, which plays a major role in the country’s economy and food security.
The main production areas for aquaculture feed are concentrated in southern Vietnam, particularly in provinces such as Dong Nai, Binh Duong, and Can Tho. These regions are home to numerous facilities focused on producing feed for the country’s extensive fish and shrimp farming sectors.
