Vietnam’s imports of insulated wires and cables saw a marginal increase of 0.04 percent month-on-month in February, reaching US$307.85 million, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This brings total year-to-date imports to US$619.21 million, reflecting stable demand in key markets.
China remained the dominant supplier, accounting for 64.22 percent of total imports at US$197.70 million, though this marked a 7.80 percent decline from the previous month. South Korea saw the most significant increase among major suppliers, rising by 30.60 percent to US$34.45 million. Japan also recorded strong growth, increasing by 26.82 percent to US$11.91 million.
Imports from the Philippines rose by 47.11 percent to US$7.91 million, while Germany saw a 33.75 percent increase to US$1.42 million. Meanwhile, Taiwan and Singapore recorded declines of 13.43 percent and 11.85 percent, respectively.
