President / GS to visit India
India’s Ministry of External Affairs has said in a statement that Vietnam’s President To Lam will visit India from May 5 to 7, 2026, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Vegetable transhipment CN – VN – Taiwan
The Guardian is reporting that Taiwan officials have alleged China is rerouting vegetables through Vietnam to evade Taiwan import bans, relabeling produce as of Vietnamese origin.
Agriculture minister Chen Junne-jih has suggested measures to tackle the practice could include stricter penalties and aerial surveys in Vietnam to assess feasible production volumes.

Vietnam Airlines head letter to staff re: fuel crisis

Morocco antidumping tariffs on VN steel

Hoa Phat Steel banking on HSR

Carlsberg fined by Nat. Competition Commission

VN pineapple seized in Poland
VN Economy is reporting that Poland’s Agricultural and Food Quality Inspection Authority seized and banned the sale of a 13,500-kilogram shipment of canned pineapple from Vietnam due to labelling violations.
The shipment was found to contain incorrect information on ingredients, labelling, and expiry dates, according to Vietnam’s trade office in Poland.
Polish authorities previously banned imports of Vietnamese coconut milk and dried mango products over similar labelling and additive disclosure violations.
In 2025, eight Vietnamese shipments failed Polish standards, while in January 2026, 52,716 cans of pineapple-flavoured coconut water were banned for prohibited additives and labelling errors, the article notes. View source→
