Vietnam’s aluminum industry
Vietnam’s aluminium industry is a developing segment of the country’s metals sector, supported by domestic bauxite reserves and growing industrial demand.
Production remains focused on upstream activities such as alumina refining, while downstream processing and fabrication are still expanding.
The sector is influenced by global aluminium prices, energy costs, and export demand, particularly from manufacturing and construction industries.
Government policy and investment continue to shape development, with efforts to move up the value chain and increase domestic processing capacity.
