Vietnam’s gas industry

Vietnam’s liquefied petroleum gas industry supplies households, restaurants and small manufacturers, with demand concentrated in urban areas.

Consumption has grown alongside rising incomes and urbanisation, though it remains sensitive to global energy price fluctuations.

Domestic production comes mainly from associated gas at offshore oil and gas fields, supplemented by imports to meet demand.

Key infrastructure includes storage terminals, bottling plants and distribution networks operated by state-owned and private firms.
