On May 7, Vietnam’s black market US dollar buy rate was VND 26,580 and the sell rate was VND 26,620, unchanged, for a mid-market rate of VND 26,600, according to Ty Gia USD.
The State Bank of Vietnam set its central exchange rate at VND 25,113, while the Google Finance mid-market rate stood at VND 26,308.
The spread between the SBV central rate and the black market mid-market rate was VND 1,487, or 5.92 percent.

Interbank interest rates
Vietnam’s interbank interest rates rose across most tenors.
The overnight rate increased to 7.05 percent (up 0.43 points).
The 1-week rate rose to 6.93 percent, and the 2-week rate rose to 6.99 percent.
The 1-month rate decreased to 7.19 percent, while the 3-month and 6-month rates rose to 7.55 and fell to 8.12 percent respectively.
The 9-month tenor was unchanged at 8.30 percent.
