On May 6, Vietnam’s black market US dollar rates were quoted at VND 26,580 (buy) and VND 26,620 (sell), both up 40, for a mid-market rate of VND 26,600, down 0.15 percent, according to Ty Gia USD.
Meanwhile, the State Bank of Vietnam set its central exchange rate at VND 25,113, while the Google Finance mid-market rate stood at VND 26,324.
The spread between the SBV’s central rate and the black-market mid-market rate was VND 1,487, or 5.92 percent.

Interbank interest rates
Vietnam’s interbank interest rates rose across most tenors.
The overnight rate increased to 6.62 percent (up 2.74 points).
The 1-week rate rose to 6.81 percent, and the 2-week rate rose to 6.86 percent.
The 1-month rate increased to 7.19 percent, while the 3-month and 6-month rates rose to 7.41 and 8.50 percent respectively.
The 9-month tenor was unchanged at 8.30 percent.
