Vietnam exported US$540.37 million worth of goods to Taiwan in August, a 6.14 percent decline from July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year-to-date exports reached US$4.42 billion.
Electronics and machinery dominated, with computers and electrical products at US$140.72 million, down 3.30 percent month-on-month, and machinery at US$103.19 million, down 5.26 percent.
Iron and steel shipments fell sharply by 41.26 percent to US$18.29 million, while textiles rose 33.53 percent to US$26.51 million.
Agricultural exports such as fruits, vegetables and fishery products provided smaller but stable contributions.
The data shows Taiwan remains an important partner for Vietnam in both industrial and consumer goods, though August trade reflected declines across several major categories.
