Exports: Vietnam exports to Switzerland down 16.6 percent in August

Vietnam exported US$14.49 million worth of goods to Switzerland in August, a 16.61 percent decline from July, according to Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.

Year-to-date exports reached US$119.77 million.

Computers and electrical products rose 38.72 percent month-on-month to US$4.72 million, making up nearly a quarter of total shipments.

Fishery products slipped 8.01 percent to US$2.70 million, while footwear rose 25.15 percent to US$1.52 million.

Machinery exports dropped sharply by 50.91 percent to under US$1 million, and textiles fell 24.76 percent to US$826,000.

Electronics and fishery products remain Vietnam’s key exports to Switzerland, though volatility across machinery and textiles shows shifting demand dynamics.
