In April, total tourist arrivals reached 2,031,519, down 2.30 percent from March, according to the latest data from Vietnam’s General Department of Tourism.
Asia accounted for 1,473,651 tourist arrivals in April, down 2.30 percent compared to March.
A total of 360,968 tourists arrived from Europe in April, a decline of 6.10 percent.
In April, Africa sent 5,561 visitors, up 49.80 percent.
Arrivals from Oceania reached 80,044 in April, rising 35.40 percent.
Tourist numbers from the Americas totalled 111,295 in April, down 10.70 percent.
Vietnam’s tourism industry
Vietnam’s tourism industry is a key economic sector, driven by international arrivals and a large domestic travel market.
Key source markets include China, South Korea, and the United States, alongside growing interest from Europe and regional Southeast Asia.
