Vietnam’s electronics manufacturing industry
Vietnam’s electronics industry has become a core pillar of the country’s industrial economy, driven by strong foreign direct investment and deep integration into global supply chains.
The sector produces a wide range of goods, including computers, electronic components, consumer electronics, and electrical equipment for export markets across Asia, Europe, and North America.
Production is concentrated in major industrial hubs such as the Red River Delta and the southern key economic zone, supported by expanding industrial parks, logistics infrastructure, and a large manufacturing workforce.
Ongoing investment in automation, skills upgrading, and supporting industries is aimed at strengthening Vietnam’s role in higher-value electronics and electrical manufacturing over the medium term.
