Vietnam’s imports of still image and video cameras, and their parts, reached US$206.38 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents an increase of 10.58 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) import value of US$740.05 million.
China remains the dominant supplier with significant growth:
China was the leading supplier in April, with imports valued at US$115.45 million. This marks a substantial increase of 15.96 percent from March and accounts for a commanding 52.85 percent of the total year-to-date imports.
Taiwan sees a decrease but remains a key supplier:
Taiwan was the second-largest supplier in April, with imports valued at US$36.43 million, a decrease of 15.81 percent from the previous month. Taiwan accounts for 24.64 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Japan records a notable increase:
Imports from Japan experienced a significant increase of 16.55 percent in April, reaching US$7.97 million. Japan accounts for 3.81 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Thailand sees a substantial rise:
Imports from Thailand surged by 46.13 percent in April, reaching US$5.43 million, contributing 2.54 percent to the year-to-date total.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Thailand experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 46.13 percent. Conversely, the UK saw the most significant decrease at 87.50 percent.
