Vietnam’s imports of soy beans reached US$56.25 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a sharp decrease of 41.85 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) import value of US$318.07 million.
USA remains the leading supplier despite a slight decrease:
The USA was the top supplier of soy beans to Vietnam in April, with imports valued at US$22.51 million. This marks a decrease of 5.40 percent from March but still accounts for a dominant 58.76 percent of the total year-to-date imports.
Brazil experiences a significant decrease:
Imports from Brazil saw a substantial decrease of 45.86 percent in April, falling to US$31.07 million. Brazil accounts for 27.81 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Canada records a substantial decrease:
Imports from Canada experienced a significant decrease of 53.99 percent in April, reaching US$2.00 million. Canada accounts for 9.22 percent of the year-to-date imports.
Argentina sees no imports in April:
Notably, there were no recorded imports from Argentina in April, compared to US$10.47 million in March.
