ToggleVietnam imported rubber to the tune of US$332 million in December, up from US$284 million in November, a change of 16.81 percent, according to preliminary data from Vietnam’s General Department of Customs.
Year to date, Vietnam had imported US$3,081 million worth of rubber by the end of December.
Cambodia accounted for US$125 million worth of Vietnam’s rubber imports in December. This was up from US$98 million in rubber imports in November, a change of 27.20 percent. Year to date, Cambodia has shipped US$1,006 million worth of rubber to Vietnam.
After Cambodia was China making up US$46 million worth of Vietnam’s rubber imports in December. This was up from US$43 million in rubber imports in November, a change of 7.38 percent. Year to date, China has shipped US$477 million worth of rubber to Vietnam.
Next was South Korea contributing US$30 million worth of Vietnam’s rubber imports in December. This was up from US$25 million in rubber imports in November, a change of 18.43 percent. Year to date, South Korea has shipped US$319 million worth of rubber to Vietnam.
Following South Korea was Thailand representing US$25 million worth of Vietnam’s rubber imports in December. This was up from US$21 million in rubber imports in November, a change of 21.02 percent. Year to date, Thailand has shipped US$216 million worth of rubber to Vietnam.
Rounding out the top five was Laos constituting US$25 million worth of Vietnam’s rubber imports in December. This was up from US$19 million in rubber imports in November, a change of 29.93 percent. Year to date, Laos has shipped US$223 million worth of rubber to Vietnam.
