Vietnam’s exports of pepper reached US$184.14 million in April 2025, according to figures released by Vietnam’s General Department of Customs. This represents a significant increase of 31.08 percent compared to March, with a year-to-date (YTD) export value of US$508.37 million.
USA remains the top export market with substantial growth:
The USA was the leading export market in April, with exports valued at US$49.32 million. This marks a significant increase of 27.61 percent from March and accounts for the largest share of the year-to-date exports at 26.07 percent.
India sees substantial growth to become a key export market:
India was the second-largest export market in April, with exports valued at US$17.69 million, a substantial increase of 59.89 percent from the previous month. India accounts for 8.10 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Germany records significant growth:
Exports to Germany experienced a significant increase of 29.46 percent in April, reaching US$17.05 million. Germany accounts for 9.70 percent of the year-to-date exports.
UAE sees extraordinary growth:
Exports to the UAE surged by 111.13 percent in April, reaching US$9.79 million. UAE accounts for 3.93 percent of the year-to-date exports.
Significant month-on-month increases and decreases:
Kuwait experienced the largest month-on-month increase at 520.17 percent, followed by Italy and Belgium. Conversely, Algeria experienced the most significant decrease as there were no exports in April after substantial exports in March, followed by Ukraine and Poland.
